WiFi Configuration from SD Card File

Setting Configuration Parameters

Micro-SD card

The next logical step is using an SD card file to store the parameters that we would use to configure the WiFi Shield. That is exactly what this next sketch does.

SD Card

For test purposes it makes sense to hard code the SSID, passphrase and security mode in the Arduino sketch. However, for practical purposes it would be impossible for the end user of your product to change them. What we've done in this next sketch is store the parameters in a file called CONFIG.DAT and then have the microcontroller parse the file and set the WiFi shield's parameters based on the settings.
